The mission of the Student Loan Administration (SLA) department is to: 1) comply with the Federal and State regulations surrounding the Federal and campus based loan programs offered at Indiana University 2) ensure the activity in the loan funds is accurately reflected in the University Financial System and 3) ensure compliance with regulations surrounding collections.  This is accomplished through: monitoring the billing service system; reconciliation of each loan fund on a monthly basis; audit benefits processed by our billing servicer; and enhance the collection management system through continual updates.  In addition, we act as a collections resource for individual campuses and departments.
