In addition to the standard business rules for endowment transactions, the following business rules apply to cash transfer transactions:
When you initiate this e-doc, the system sets the Transaction Sub Type to C (Cash). You cannot change this value.
You may enter multiple transaction lines in this e-doc in either or both the From and To sections. You must make at least one entry in each section.
If you specify a security, only one security may be entered and it will reference all transaction lines.
When you add a transaction line in the From portion of the transaction lines, if the KEMID specified has a permanent restriction code and if the transaction line is for principal, the system displays a warning message in the transaction line indicating that the transaction will reduce the value of the endowment.
When you add a transaction line in the From portion of the transaction lines, the system checks to see if there are sufficient funds to process the transaction. If there are not, the system generates a warning message for the transaction line indicating that there are insufficient funds.
o For an income transaction, the system verifies against available total cash.
o For a principal transaction, the system verifies against available principal cash.
When you add a transaction line, the system checks to see whether the Etran code affects corpus. If it does, the system updates the KEMIDs corpus value accordingly.
This e-doc cannot be reversed. In order to reverse a transaction, you must generate a new transfer with the required information.
The total of the transaction amount (income plus principal) in the From transaction lines must equal the total of the transaction amount in the To transaction lines.
