Asset Information Tab

When you click the add button, the system displays the Asset Information tab.

This tab presents two pieces of information—the original asset number and cost. It also presents an option for you to split the cost equally among all assets (that is, the assets being created and the existing asset; so, for example, if the entry in the Quantity of Assets To be Created field is 1, the asset will be split into two assets and the cost will be shared equally between them).

Asset Information tab field definitions

Title	Description
Asset Number	System-generated number assigned to the original asset.
Calculate Equal Source Amounts	Click allocate to split the original asset cost equally among all assets, new and existing.
Total Cost	Total cost of the asset from all payments posted to the asset.
