Access Security Simulation

The Access Security Simulation screen allows users to simulate security based on accounting line attributes. This option also displays a list of allowed values for the selected attribute and user.

Title	Description
Action	Required. From the list, select the attribute (balance inquiry, edit accounting line, etc.) for which you want to display the principal’s security settings for the attribute specified.
Attribute	Required. From the list, select the attribute (account, chart, object code, etc.) for which you want to display the principal’s security settings.
Principal Name	Required. Enter the name of the principal for whom you want to display security settings.

The screen returns a list of the specific accounts, charts, object codes, or other attributes specified for which the principal has permission to take the specified action. In the example shown below, the search results list all accounts (attribute) for which khuntley (principal) has balance inquiry (action) permission.
